THE NEWS. Bologna scores points in the 1st at-bat. With Quevedo playing a good game in the meantime as a reliever, San Marino reaches the 6th and finds the turning point inning. Diaz finds a nice single to the center on Robles and, on Pieternella’s valid bunt, a couple of defensive errors allow our team to score 3-3 and Pieternella himself to reach third. On Lopez’s dry bounce to third, the throw to first is not precise and the player is safe. In a situation with men in the corners, Di Fabio’s valid in the opposite field is worth 4-3 and Ferrini’s double play hit still makes it 5-3. It is the decisive advantage, because Kourtis between the 6th and 7th does not allow any points. San Marino wins and returns to the top of the standings together with Bologna and Parma.
