San Marino’s Giorgia Cesarini Earns Olympic Spot in Archery for Paris 2024

12 years after London 2012 archery will return to Olympic Games. 12 years after the participation of Emanuele Guidi in fact the World Archery has granted to San Marino an Olympic card for the young shooter Giorgia Cesarini who will thus be able to participate in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The results achieved by the athlete on the field in recent seasons have been accompanied by incessant diplomatic work by the San Marino Archery Federation which today received the approval from the tripartite commission for Cesarini’s participation.

“After Guidi’s exciting participation in London we return to the highest international sporting context with a girla – is the comment of Luciano Zanotti who chased his dream with commitment and dedication and who World Archery recognized as being ready for Olympic participation. The San Marino archery movement is active and growing, the international relationships that we have built over the years guarantee us special attention. I can say that I am proud of the athlete and of the entire FSTArco. My hug -continues Zanotti – goes today to Kristina Pruccoli, reigning European Champion and unique athlete for quality and dedication, I ask her not to give up and to work towards the next challenges. Instead, I ask Giorgia Cesarini and her staff to prepare as much as possible for this appointment. For us it is a historic result – concludes the Federal President – for which I thank my colleagues on the FSTA board, the CONS, the Presidents of FITARCO and FIARC and obviously World Archery”.
