The ’34th Conference of the Spanish Association of Basketball Doctors (AEMB)’ has had this year the San Rafael University Hospital as a venue. The inauguration, which took place on June 21, was carried out by the medical director of the San Rafael University Hospital, Rosario Trinidad, and the traumatologist of the same center and coordinator of these Conferences, Cristóbal Rodríguez, together with the vice president of the AEMB, Pilar Doñoro.
“We have been trying to help put medicine through the ring for the benefit of our sport for 35 years,” said Rodríguez, who also wanted to highlight how the San Rafael University Hospital (HUSR) and the Brothers of San Juan de Dios have dedicated themselves to support Traumatology and the Sports Medicine Unit of this Center.
For his part, Trinidad has highlighted the importance of the Traumatology Service at the HUSR: “Always working hard to provide the best care to its patients for over 30 years.” The event was also attended by the president of the AEMB, Jordi Puigdellivol, and the president of the Madrid Basketball Federation (FMB), Santos Moraga.
Over three days, these Conferences have included specialists from all over Spain in Traumatology and Orthopedic Surgery, Sports Medicine, Diagnostic Imaging, physiotherapists, nutritionists and other professionals, as well as professional basketball players such as Ricky Rubio, Amaya Valdemoro and Anna Montaña.
