Sébastien Ogier reassures after his accident during reconnaissance of the Rally Poland

“I had to spend the night in the hospital, but I already feel much better. » It is with these words that Sébastien Ogier gave reassuring news this Wednesday, via a message published on his X account, accompanied by a photo of him, on board a plane, neck brace around his neck.

“I am pleased that medical checks did not reveal any serious injuries to Vincent or the occupants of the other car either. We can’t take part in this rally, which is a shame, but the most important thing is that everyone involved is safe. Thank you everyone for all the messages I received. I am now on my way back to rest and make sure I return to full fitness soon,” he added.

Head-on collision with another car

As a reminder, while they were carrying out reconnaissance to prepare for the Polish Rally, which begins on Thursday, Sébastien Ogier and Vincent Landais had a road accident. Their Toyota team initially indicated that the two men had been taken to hospital to carry out “medical checks”, before specifying on Tuesday evening that their state of health was reassuring. Ogier and Landais will not participate in the 7th round of the season, and will be replaced by Kalle Rovanperä and Jonne Halttunen. Ogier should be back for the next round of the WRC, in Latvia from July 18 to 21.
