[다경뉴스=손윤수 기자] Seongju Office of Education held a school sports club competition at elementary and middle schools and Byeolgoeul Futsal Stadium for a total of four days on June 13, June 14, June 21, and June 26, 2023.

The purpose of this competition is to promote physical strength through school sports club activities and to foster ‘good character’ through various physical activities. Approximately 100 elementary and middle school students participated in the competition in four sports: badminton, futsal, table tennis, and kinball, and fully demonstrated the skills they had honed.
In this competition, Badminton was won by Byeokjin Elementary School (Boys’ Elementary Division), Futsal was won by Chojeon Middle School (Boys’ Middle Division), Table Tennis was won by Daega Elementary School (Boys’ and Girls’ Elementary Division), and Kinball Elementary School (Girls’ Middle Division). The winning teams of each school sports club event in the Office of Education will be eligible to compete in the Gyeongbuk School Sports Club Competition to be held in August-September 2024.
Seongju Education Support Office Superintendent Chae Jong-won said, “This opportunity has become a valuable opportunity to learn how students can develop their dreams and happiness by participating in physical activities on their own. In addition, we will spare no support in creating a healthy and happy school full of laughter by activating school sports clubs to promote physical strength and create a lively school atmosphere.”
