Sheinbaum informs the IMF that Rogelio Ramírez de la O will continue to lead the SHCP – El Sol de México

Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, virtual presidential candidate-elect of Mexico, said that she had a conversation this Thursday with the general director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Kristalina Georgieva, where she informed her that the Secretary of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP), Rogelio Ramírez de la O would remain in office during the next six-year term.

“I received a call from the general director of the International Monetary Fund, Kristalina Georgieva (@KGeorgieva), I told her about the appointment of Rogelio Ramírez de la O. We will continue to collaborate with this financial organization,” he noted on his social networks.

The candidate’s message is accompanied by a video where Sheinbaum is seen talking in a phone call with the director of the IMF and in the image you can see the coordinator of her Transition Government team, Dr. José Ramón de La Fuente.

After the nervousness in the international markets due to the eventual arrival of Sheinbaum to Power in Mexico, Ramírez de la O himself spoke this week with international investors to calm their spirits.

In Ramírez de la O’s call with financiers, he committed to reducing debt by 2025.
