Kento Okeya Video Coordinator

My name is Kento Okeya and I have been appointed as the video coordinator. First of all, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the club officials for giving me this opportunity.
I have been involved with the team as an intern for two seasons, starting from the 2022-23 season. During these two seasons, I experienced the passion of the boosters, who are known as the best in Japan, and was fascinated by the atmosphere they created.
I am very happy to be a part of such a great team. I will support the players and coaches in every way possible, and do my best to help the team achieve its goals and bring a breath of fresh air to the Shiga Lakes.

Takehito Hara, Sports Director

As we move towards a return to B1 and then to the B Premier League, we have decided on a five-member coaching staff to lead the team alongside Head Coach Maeda Kenjiro, Assistant Coach Mark Kaijima, and Assistant Coach Hill Ryan, who have already been announced.

AC Mori has worked as a student coach at Waseda University in the Kanto University League, mainly analyzing opponents since enrolling, and during the two years he went on to graduate school to study coaching, he served as an assistant coach and also led the team as acting head coach. VC Okeya supported the team as an intern staff member at Shiga Lakes for the past two seasons, and contributed in the area of analysis in the past seasons. We hope that by combining their strengths in analysis, they will be able to maximize the coaching resources and potential of AC Kaijima and AC Hill, and improve the level of basketball perfection that Head Coach Maeda aims for.

The coaching staff for the new season will be five people, up from last season’s three. In addition to the previously announced team staff, there are many staff members with high levels of language proficiency, including AC Kaijima, who will be in charge of interpretation, and we have been able to assemble members who have an advantage in terms of communication within the team, including foreign players.

The nine Japanese players who have already been announced have been decided, and the remaining players will be foreign players, completing the opening roster. Under the new head coach Maeda, the new team will start preparing for the B1 League in July, but we intend to properly inform everyone of the team’s goals and concept at another opportunity to coincide with the team’s start.

Everyone, please look forward to the new Lakers coaching staff, led by Head Coach Maeda!

Go Lakes!
