GERMAN – The following are the results of the EURO 2024 Group C match. The Slovenian National Team meets the Serbian National Team at the Allianz Arena, Munich, Thursday 20 June 20 June 2024.
The duel between the two former Yugoslav countries was fierce. After alternating buying and selling attacks, the duel ended in a 1-1 draw.
Slovenia got an opportunity in the 59th minute. Benjamin Sesko’s shot from outside the penalty box was blocked by Serbian goalkeeper Predrag Rajkovic.

Slovenia finally managed to take the lead in the 69th minute. The goal was scored by Zan Karnicnik.
This goal was designed from a neat collaborative scheme by the Slovenian players. Timi Elsnik’s pass was completed with Zan Karnicnik’s right foot kick.

Slovenia’s victory which was in sight was shattered in the 90+6 minute. Serbia equalized through AC Milan player Luka Jovic.
Receiving a corner kick from Ivan Ilic, Luka Jovic’s header found the Serbian goal which was guarded by Predrag Rajkovic.
This result makes Slovenia occupy second place in Group C with 2 points from 2 matches. Followed by Denmark and Serbia with 1 point. England still leads the standings with 3 points
