The South Sudan team has presented its preliminary list of 50 players to compete in the next Olympic Games in Paris 2024, already classified for the first time in its history after its outstanding performance in the 2023 World Cup.
Among the announced players are Bol Bol, from the Phoenix Suns; and there are also the NBA JT Thor, brother of Thon Maker; Wenyen Gabriel or the former MVP of the 2023 G League, and currently playing in China, Carlik Jones.

The team led by Royal Ivey is in Group C along with the teams of Serbia and the United States, and the fourth participant who will leave the FIBA pre-qualifying tournament remains to be known.
For his part, the aforementioned Bol Bol will become an unrestricted free agent starting in July, and everything indicates that he will continue to be linked to the Arizona franchise where he is expected to obtain a greater role under Mike Budenholzer.
