Spanish Swimmer Luis Dominguez Secures Spot in Olympic Games

Luis Domínguez has taken a definitive step towards the Olympic Games. The Aragonese swimmer has achieved his place twice in relays after finish second this Wednesday in the 200-meter freestyle event, and achieve the minimum to compete in the relay also in the 100-meter freestyle event this Thursday in the Spanish Championship that is being held in Mallorca.

This championship was the last opportunity and the selection for the Olympic Games of the Spanish swimmers to get a ticket, either through minimal marks or good performances. The Aragonese will still have options to attend more tests of the games, competing this Friday in the 50 free and closing his participation on Saturday in the test of 400 free.

With Domínguez, there are now nine Aragonese athletes who have a guaranteed place for Paris 2024: Inés Bergua and Alba Bautista (gym), Esther Briz (remo), Begoña García (hockey), Alexander French (soccer), Salma Paralluelo (soccer), Danila So Delgado (handball), Pablo Abian (badminton) and Luis Dominguez (swimming).
