Sports Department Penal Committee Allows Basketball Leagues to Continue, Suspends KOOP Bank Issuance until July 15

The Penal Committee of the Sports Department did not stop the Basketball Leagues, and the issuance of KOOP Bank was suspended until July 15.

The expulsion process that occurred with KOOP Bank’s withdrawal from the Basketball Leagues was transferred to the Sports Department Penalty Board. The Penalty Board produced an interim decision and temporarily stopped KOOP’s expulsion until July 15, when it will produce the final decision.

If the Penalty Board approves the penalty decisions made by the Federation on July 15, the expulsion process will continue. The Penal Board also has the authority to approve, reject, increase or reduce the penalty imposed.

This situation is also interpreted as an intervention by the Sports Department into the autonomy of the Federation.

Basketball Youth Leagues are over

In basketball youth leagues, the regular season is over. It is expected that the semi-finals of the play-offs will end this week in the leagues and the final series will start next week.

10 CLUBS Over 200 athletes could be affected

If Koop BANK takes the issue to the Supreme Administrative Court and attempts to stop the youth leagues, 10 clubs and around 200 athletes competing in the youth leagues will be affected by this situation.
