Status holders will soon be able to rent a room from the housing associations in Bronckhorst.
The municipality and housing corporations ProWonen and Sité concluded a cooperation agreement on Thursday 20 June that makes it possible to use room rental for the housing of status holders. According to Alderman Emmeke Gosselink, this leaves more space in the housing stock of the corporations in Bronckhorst for other target groups such as young people and urgent seekers.
At the moment, status holders traveling alone are mainly linked to Bronckhorst. Because the available homes are usually intended for families, they are too large to rent to a single person. Room rental is a good solution for this. Currently, unaccompanied status holders in particular are linked to our municipality. In a situation where there is a lot of demand for homes, room-by-room rental ensures better occupancy of the houses. This means that more rental properties remain available for other home seekers, such as young people and people who need a home quickly, for example after a divorce.
