Moncalieri is preparing to take a leap back in time, precisely 828 years, to host the 14th medieval fencing and ancient archery tournament. The event, which will be held Saturday 29th e Sunday 30th June, promises to be an unforgettable experience for history buffs and anyone who wants to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of Middle Ages.
This fascinating event offers a window into the 1196, year of foundation of the city, through re-enactments that reproduce the atmospheres of a distant era. Knights and archers in armor will battle in duels which promise to be as spectacular as they are educational.
The event is organized by the Historical and Cultural Volunteer Association “Order of the Phoenix Templars of St. Egidio ODV of Moncalieri“. The group, born in 2004 from a deep love for local history, is committed to preserving and disseminating the medieval culture, emphasizing the period of the Templars in Moncalieri. The Order of the Phoenix not only seeks to relive history, but also to transmit the chivalric values of that time.
In addition to the educational and cultural value, the event also has one charitable purpose. In fact, it represents an opportunity to build bonds with entities welfare and others associations Of Volunteering of the territory, thus supporting local charitable activities.
