Another great weekend of competition for the Arc Club Montceau Bourgogne.
This weekend, the Bourgogne Franche-Comté regional championship took place in Auxonne.
The young people started the championship on Saturday in pouring rain. 10 young people represented the club.
In U13 women’s recurve 30m, Louise Bret and Elsa Mazille finished in 4th and 5th place respectively.
In U15 women’s recurve 40m archery, the club was represented by 4 archers: Manila Rondot Da Costa 4th, Maelys Gremy Cottin 5th, Lily Chardeau 6th and Léa Didone 9th.
In the U18 women’s recurve 60m event, Aysun Gurbuz reached the podium in 2nd place.
In U18 men’s recurve arch at 60m, Hugo Bergantini also got on the podium by winning a bronze medal, Clément Bard placed 4th.
To finish in U18 men’s recurve arch at 70m, Yanis Cognard finished in 5th place.
Congratulations to our young people who were able to brave the rain for this last outdoor competition!
On Sunday, the adults of the club took over for this BFC championship.
The weather was no better than the day before for our archers.
5 archers represented the club.
For the ladies in recurve arch at 70m, Sylvie Rave finished 2nd and Laetitia Balthazard 6th.
For the men in the 70m classic bow, Martial Taulemesse finished in 4th place, Kevin Desvignes in 11th and Gregory Lanfumey in 22nd place.
A mixed doubles competition was also organized in addition to the individual competitions, our team, Sylve Rave and Martial Taulemesse, placed 3rd.
On the same weekend the national mixed trophy took place in Chennevières-sur-Marne.
Our club was able to present 2 teams in two categories:
one for new licensees (practicing archery for less than 2 years) shooting at 30m: Meriem Berkani and Mathieu Mazille
one in recurve shooting at 50m: Marie Bienvenu and Eddy Nunes.
The team of new graduates finished 32nd and the recurve team in 7th place.
Another great weekend of competitions for our club and excellent preparation for the club’s archers in the D2 team and for the French championships at the beginning of July!
Our women’s team and our men’s team in D2 have both qualified for the national final which will take place next weekend in Brienon-sur-Armançon for a possible promotion to D1.
