Success at the Bourgogne Franche Comté Archery Championships: Recaps from Field and Outdoor Shooting Events

Saturday, June 1st, the Bourgogne Franche Comté regional field shooting championship took place.

Field shooting is a course of 24 targets including 12 known distances and 12 unknown distances and different targets.

This year, the championship was organized by the Chenôve Archery Association and the events took place in Fort Beauregard in Fenay (21).

Three archers from the club participated.

In recurve category S1 men, Martial Taulemesse finished 3rd and Alryck Fournet-Fayard 4th.

In the men’s S2 recurve bow, Fabien Bosset finished 2nd and is therefore BFC vice-champion in field shooting.

Sunday June 2, the departmental outdoor shooting championship took place. Six archers from the club took part in the events in unpredictable weather; a few showers which did not disturb our archers however.

Outdoor shooting is an event during which the archer must shoot two series of six flights of six arrows. To shoot each end of six arrows, the archer has four minutes. The club has four Saône-et-Loire champions in outdoor shooting.

All participated in recurve bow.
