Success for Asd Judo San Cesareo at Italian Championships for Beginners B A1

They concluded in Jesolo last weekend Italian Championships for Beginners B A1 of judo which give the title of Champion of Italy. The best under 15s in Italian judo participate in the competition, qualified through a busy calendar of competitions.

The Asd Judo San Cesareo confirms itself also in this competition thanks to a great performance by Miriam Porcariwho, in his first year in the category, won the bronze medal in the 48kg.

Miriam who had qualified by winning the A2 final, easily won the first match but lost the second due to a number of yellow cards. She entered the recovery periods in which she proved implacable in her immobilization techniques. She overcomes three opponents one after the other, qualifying for the bronze final. The last match is hard fought and continues to the golden score but Miryam, still with an excellent technique, pins her opponent to the ground, winning the deserved medal.

This result certifies the excellent work carried out in the San Cesareo gym by the technicians Mauro Berardi e Alessio Porcariwho, in a short time, were able to create the ideal environment for kids to grow and be competitive at the highest levels.

In fact, at the national final, two other athletes fielded by judo San Cesareo also performed well. In the +70kg category Sara Ferro he has an unfavorable draw and loses the opening match with the athlete who will then finish in first place. She enters the repechage and gets to compete in the final for bronze but fails to get on the podium, finishing fifth.

In the men’s 55kg category Jacopo Pisciaroli he wins the first match with two excellent waza-ari but then has to surrender in the second round against Errico Petrosino who will win the title. In the repechage he suffered a waza-ari as time expired and finished the race in tenth place. Even in their first year in the category, they will have time to continue to grow and confirm themselves at a national level.

Next meeting on June 15th at the municipal building of San Cesareo which will host Judo Boys Tour. Event dedicated to young judokas which will see almost 200 young athletes training together in a day of sport and friendship.
