Superstar Biles wins all-around competition at US trials

Superstar Simone Biles can plan for her third Olympic Games. The 27-year-old won the all-around competition with 58.650 points at the US Trials in Minneapolis (US state of Minnesota) on Friday (local time). The four-time Olympic champion also impressed with 14.850 points on the floor and 15.387 points as an average for her two jumps.

Second in the four-event competition consisting of floor, vault, balance beam and uneven bars was Jordan Chiles with 56.400 points, ahead of Sunisa Lee (56.025). Two-time team world champion Shilese Jones only competed on the uneven bars after she sustained a leg injury while warming up for the vault. The 21-year-old achieved the highest score on the uneven bars with 14.675 points.

Sunisa Lee was the best in the balance beam qualification with 14,400 points. The USA Olympic team will be announced after the eliminations are over on Sunday.
