Swiss Men’s Football Team Victorious in European Championship Match Against Hungary

The Swiss men’s football team beat Hungary 3:1 (2:0) in the European Championship final tournament subgroup A match in Cologne on Saturday.

It has already been reported that Germany defeated Scotland 5-1 in the Group A game at the opening of the European Championship on Friday. Thus, after the first games, Germany and Switzerland have three points each, while Hungary and Scotland have started the championship without any points.

Kwadwo Dua, Michel Ebischer and Briel Embolo scored for Switzerland, while Barnabas Varga scored for Hungary.

In the 13th minute of the game, when the Swiss played successfully in the middle of the field, Ebišer redirected the ball to Dua, who came alone against Pēterus Gulāš and sent the ball into the goal – 1:0. After seven minutes, the Hungarians also allowed Ruben Vargas to go against the goalkeeper, but Gulaši saved this time.

In the last minute of regular time, Ebišer executed a prepared kick outside the penalty area and made it 2-0 for the Swiss national team.

In the first half of the second half, Varga headed the ball past the goal from close range, but in the 66th minute, after a pass from Dominiak Soboslai, he sent the ball into the Swiss fortress and reduced the advantage of the opponents.

Embolo added a point to the victory of the Swiss national team, who took advantage of Willi Orban’s mistake in the third minute of compensation time and made it 3:1.
