For its part, Switzerland finished behind host country Germany in Group A. It won its first match at the Euro, against Hungary (1-3). It then drew twice, with a score of 1-1, against Scotland and the Mannschaft.
In the quarter-finals, the team that qualifies will face the winner of the round of 16 between England and Slovakia.
