On his 66th birthday, Austria’s national football team manager Ralf Rangnick sang him a serenade in the hotel before team training in the morning. The German was given a cake and a photo signed by the team, the one of him celebrating against the Netherlands.
At lunchtime, the team trained before the round of 16 match against Turkey on Tuesday (9 p.m.). All players except the injured central defender Gernot Trauner were on the pitch in the stadium.
