Steve Kerr, Team USA coach: “I think LeBron James and Steph Curry are very excited to play together. I’ve talked to both of them about the idea of being together, having played against each other over the years with such high stakes. They obviously get along very well. I think the idea of Steph playing on the outside and LeBron pushing him in transition is pretty intriguing. Of course, Steph will play on the ball, too, and LeBron has become a very good shooter. But they’re both very good at a lot of different areas of the game. I think they’re very excited to play together for the first time. And as they go through practice and play, they’ll discover the nuances that they can exploit and explore, to see where they can impact each other.”
