Juliette G. disappeared at the age of seventeen in November 2022. She was found “free and in good health” on Thursday near the French city of Lyon. The Namur public prosecutor’s office confirms this.

Juliette G. was seventeen on November 14, 2022 when she disappeared. She was last seen at a bus stop in the Namur district of Vedrin, not far from her school.
The young woman was found safe and sound on Thursday in the home of a French citizen near Lyon. She could be traced thanks to the cooperation of the French judicial authorities and the national police of Villeurbanne, the Namur public prosecutor’s office reports. An investigation must now clarify the exact circumstances of her disappearance.
A month ago, Child Focus had brought her disappearance to attention with a remarkable campaign. Anyone who typed the name of athlete Nafi Thiam into a search engine online would also see the search notice for Juliette G. for two weeks. In the same period, a search for goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois also led to the search notice for Liam Vanden Branden, who disappeared in 1996.

G. previously disappeared in January 2020, at the age of fourteen. Then after three days she was found in Bray-Dunes, in the north of France. In the newspaper La Libre, her family described her as a modest, sensitive person.
