Tension and Drama at BetPlay I-2024 League Final: Bucaramanga vs. Santa Fe

What started as a party, due to the good reception of the Atlético Bucaramanga fans in the final of the BetPlay I-2024 League, ended in the worst way. Some videos were released, in the Alfonso López stadium, where it is observed how part of the logistics staff tries to attack Eduardo Méndez, president of Independiente Santa Fe. They were moments of maximum tension.

In the first instance, it is seen how the manager of the ‘cardinal’ team had an exchange of words with a person who has a t-shirt that says ‘coordinator’. There, a few things are said and some of those present intervene so that it does not escalate. In fact, one of those who appears is from the ‘lion’ staff, wearing an institution shirt and his respective accreditation.

All this happened before the eyes of several fans of the capital club who were in the area and who, as heard in the publication, reacted, with comments, opinions and even, certain followers of Independiente Santa Fe went down to where the event took place, with in order to help, protect and defend the team president. However, that did not stop there and more happened.

The mood became ‘heated up’ again and, in an upcoming video, some pushing and shoving can be seen. Finally, Eduardo Mendez leaves, walking towards the nearest stand, while both the logistics team and the authorities head towards the field of play. Until now, there has been no statement from either the ‘cardinal’ cadre or any of the others involved.

This was the first leg final of the BetPlay I-2024 League

Bucaramanga defeated Independiente Santa Fe 1-0 at home this Saturday in the first leg of the BetPlay I-2024 League final and is excited to lift the cup in a week in Bogotá.

Hinestroza received a cross from the right sector, and ended up finishing with his left foot. The powerful shot left Independiente Santa Fe goalkeeper, Andrés Mosquera Marmolejo, with no options.

Before around 25,000 people, Bucaramanga emerged with a minimal, but valuable advantage, ahead of the return match that will be played on June 15 at the Nemesio Camacho Stadium in Bogotá. However, the small difference keeps Santa Fe in the fight.
