The 2024 Open Air Tournament of the Kodokan Olsberg is going into overtime. As in the last two years, a brilliant judo spectacle will take place in the open air in the Hochsauerlandstadion Olsberg. In this way, in the district, the only tournament in the open air! Judo is actually an indoor sport and has a whole new atmosphere to offer in the open air.
This year the whole thing is taking place as a district invitation tournament. The Kodokan Olsberg is therefore also looking forward to participating clubs from outside the district and even two Dutch judo clubs will be present on this day and will fight for placings.
All age groups are represented, from around 6 years up to seniors.
As is usual in judo, everything is given in the different weight and age classes and many spectacular ippon (throws) are shown.
The Kodokan Olsberg, as host of the tournament, is already looking forward to exciting fights in the hopefully well-filled Hochsauerland Stadium!
Anyone who would like to experience and get to know the sport and its diversity live is warmly invited!
The tournament was a great success last year, not least because of the numerous sponsors (Oventrop, Stiftung Wir in Olsberg, Sparkasse HSL and the Göddecke laundry)
A cake counter, drinks, coffee and sausages from the grill are available for your physical well-being.
The whole thing will take place on June 30th, 2024 from around 10 a.m. in the Hochsauerlandstadion (old grass pitch, opposite Netto) in Olsberg.
