There was of course a lot to do around our Red Devils last weekend, but Ruben Van Gucht also attracted a fair share of attention. And a pair of women’s legs had everything to do with that.
Bare woman’s legs
In his preview of the Devils’ match against Romania, the camera showed that a woman was lying on Van Gucht’s bed. After all, he did his recordings in his hotel room. The images were therefore distributed via Radio 2.
“It is not unusual for screen faces to call into a radio program in their spare time to provide some explanation. Where and how they do this belongs to our private sphere,” said VRT spokesperson Johan Verbelen in HLN.

Van Gucht as director
The newspaper also contacted Van Gucht himself, but he chose not to respond. However, he did so in a different way. Peter Vandenbempt and Gert Verheyen have now come up with a great parody.
“It’s that the Red Devils won, otherwise attending the recordings would already be the highlight of the European Championship. Sick laughs,” it sounds with a laughing emoticon. Apparently Van Gucht himself was present when the duo Vandenbempt-Verheyen put together this fantastic piece.
