In the second round of the National Basketball Association (NBA) rookie draft, the Los Angeles Lakers selected the son of team leader LeBron James on Thursday Brony James, becoming the first father-son duo in NBA history. The 19-year-old basketball player was chosen with number 55.
During the draft ceremony, the basketball player’s agent Rich Paul dissuaded other teams from selecting Brony James, threatening that the son of the famous basketball player will go to Australia to play basketball if he does not get to the “Lakers”.
As LeBron James prepares for the Paris Olympics next month with the US men’s basketball team, Brony James is expected to represent the Lakers in the NBA Summer League.
Last year, Bronie James went into cardiac arrest during training but was successfully treated. This season, he averaged 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists for the University of Southern California in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).
In the second round of the NBA draft, the Boston “Celtics” represented by Kristaps Porzingis selected power forward Anton Watson with number 54.
