The National League semis begin between Quimsa and Boca | This Saturday in Santiago del Estero

The semifinals of the National Basketball League will start early this Saturday with the first game of the series between Quimsa de Santiago del Estero and Boca. La Fusión and Xeneize will be playing from 11:30 at the Ciudad stadium, in Santiago, with television from TyC Sports.

Quimsa is the last champion (they won the last Finals against Boca, precisely) and was the best team of the regular season, so they arrive as a large favorite for the best of five games series. “Boca will be a very tough rival. It’s going to be a difficult series, no team gives anything away at this point, so we will have to be aware that it will also be a long key, but we are prepared for that,” said intern Fabián Ramírez Barrios, who just broke it in the fifth match against Peñarol with 22 points (5 of 8 in triples).

The Santiago team, which will be playing the Intercontinental Club Championship during September, includes point guard Juan Brussino (14 points and 4 assists per game against the Mar del Plata team), center Tayavek Gallizzi (11.6 points and 6.6 rebounds) and Ramírez Barrios himself (12 points and 5 rebounds).

On the other hand, Boca has just dispatched San Lorenzo in the quarterfinals (3 to 1) with its perimeters at a very high level. Point guard José Vildoza averaged 17.7 points and 5 rebounds in the series while historic three-pointer Leonel Schattmann added 12.2 points and 3.2 assists per game.

The other semi will start on Sunday in Córdoba with Instituto against Ciclista Olimpico de La Banda. The first game will be at 8 p.m. and can be followed through Básquet Pass, the League’s platform.
