The Eiffel Tower was adorned with its Olympic clothes. On the night of Thursday June 6 to Friday June 7, the Olympic rings were installed on the Iron Lady, on the Seine side, less than 50 days before the start of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris, which will take place from July 26 to September 8 .

Made from recycled steel and produced by ArcelorMittal, the rings were assembled on the ground before being hung 70 meters high using two cranes – impressive images relayed in particular by France Bleu Paris. The assembly is 29 meters long, 13 meters high and weighs approximately thirty tons. It will be possible to see them clearly day and night, since they will be lit by 100,000 white LEDs.

The Paris 2024 Olympic rings are larger than those of London 2012 – which were installed on Tower Bridge – but smaller than those on display during the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. The latter were installed on a barge in Odaiba Bay.
