The Port Authority of Malaga advances in the project of the new goods dock |

Last week, at a meeting of its Board of Directors, the Port Authority of Malaga approved the publication of the technical specifications for the transfer of berths for vessels dedicated to official services to the left bank of the Guadalmedina River.

Along with the already inaugurated Fish Market and its corresponding moorings, this project is also part of the complementary works that the Port of Malaga is currently carrying out to build a new dock dedicated to the movement and storage of goods.

In this way, the vessels corresponding to the Civil Guard and Maritime Rescue, among others associated with official services, will have a new location within a period of six months from the start of the works.

The project, which will have a base tender budget of 1.8 million euros (VAT excluded) will be executed between 2024 and next year 2025.

During the aforementioned session of the Council, the second phase of the construction project to reinforce the structure of the shoulder of the Levante Dam was also approved.

The work aims to prevent the appearance and/or progression of damage that could cause partial or general loss of functionality and resistance, as well as improve the conservation and durability conditions of the structure, potentially reaching a useful life of 50 years once everything has been completed. the acting.

The base tender budget will be 2,950,264.41 euros (VAT excluded) over a period of three years.

Another highlight of the meeting was the approval of the technical specifications to carry out the access and connection works to the electricity company’s distribution network with the aim of expanding consumption to 25,000 KW.
