The Port of Vigo welcomes the month of June with three double cruise calls. The first of them was carried out on Wednesday by the “Virtuosa” and the “Ventura” and their more than 11,200 tourists on board. The earliest of these giants of 332 and 289 meters in length respectively was the “Ventura”, which arrived at 06:45 hours from Santander and bound for Lisbon. A total of 3,038 passengers and 1,153 crew members are on board.

About 8am. The “Virtuosa” arrived from Southampton with 5,300 passengers and 1,719 crew members. She remained moored at the Transatlantic Dock until she said goodbye to head to her next destination: Funchal, in Portugal.

It is a ship that has just left the shipyard that, after passing through Vigo, will continue to Lisbon, where its official launch will take place. The “Norwegian Getaway” and the “Queen Anne” will close the week, the new Cunard cruise ship, 322 meters long and launched just a few months ago. It is an especially important day because it will coincide in the heart of the city with the “Norwegian Getaway”, 326 meters long, or in other words, both boats will exceed five times the length of the RC Celta de Vigo stadium.

All in all, last May the Port of Vigo welcomed a total of 26,544 passengers, compared to 17,751 pax. of the same month of the previous year in a total of 12 stops, which represented a growth of +49.54%, in addition to a considerable improvement compared to the month of April.
