The pressure of the Czech Republic does not give results, Georgia earns the first point in the European Championship

The men’s football teams of Georgia and the Czech Republic played to a draw 1:1 (1:0) in the second match of the European Championship final tournament on Saturday in Hamburg. Giorgi Mikautadze scored for Georgia, but Patrik Šik stood out among the Czechs with an accurate shot.

In the 23rd minute, Adam Hlozek scored a goal for the Czech Republic, but it was disallowed after the VAR check. His shot was first saved by the Georgian goalkeeper and the rebound hit Hložek in the face and hand, which was the reason for the cancellation of the goal.

At the end of the first half, Guram Kashia took a shot at the Czech goal from a good position, and after the referee reviewed the episode on video replay, it was found that the Czech Robin Hranáč touched the ball with his hand in the penalty area, and a penalty kick was awarded to the Czech goal. Giorgi Mikautadze went to execute “Pendeli”, who accurately hit the ball into the opponent’s goal, putting Georgia in the lead with 1:0. He also scored a goal in the first match.

In the second half, less than 13 minutes into the game, the Czech Republic equalized when the ball hit the post after a corner kick and Schick then put it into the Georgian goal. At the end of the match, the Czechs tried harder to score the opponent’s goal, who managed to get two corner kicks in a short period of time, but none of them ended with an accurate shot. Georgians also had a corner kick, but it was not converted into an attack.

During the compensation period, the Czech footballers controlled the ball more, and in the last minute, the Georgians succeeded in a counterattack in three against one defender, but Saba Lobzhanidze shot over the opponent’s goal.

The national teams of Georgia and the Czech Republic played their first match against each other.
