According to a report from Tim Kawakami of The Athletic, the Golden State Warriors are expected to part ways with three-time NBA champion Looney. Kawakami revealed the news during an episode of the Warriors Plus Minus podcast. “I think the most likely situation is that he gets cut, makes $3 million with the Warriors and leaves to look for another spot. There will be another place for him in this league. Teams are going to want it, again for very low numbers, but they’re going to want it. »

Kawakami also mentioned that Looney could become a backup center on teams like the Denver Nuggets and San Antonio Spurs. Kevon Looney is arguably one of the most reliable players on the Golden State Warriors roster over the past decade, perhaps even the most underrated.
