Andrew Bynum seemed destined to become a very important player in the league, but his project turned out to be half-finished. «I don’t want to go into too much detail, but he was a very family-oriented person, and the loss of his mother was something that affected him a lot. “It’s something very serious, you can’t replace a mother, and knowing what she meant to him and what his family meant to him, I think that has a lot to do with her taking a backseat.”
Bynum was an important piece to the Lakers’ two rings in 2009 and 2010, though he peaked in the 2011-12 season, in which he averaged 18.7 points, 11.8 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game. However, after what seemed like his rise to stardom, he played only 26 more games in the league, 24 with the Cavaliers and 2 with the Pacers.
