The Volkswagen Transporter reveals an adventure-tuned version of the PanAmericana

The Volkswagen Transporter, whose story began to be written under the designation Type 2, has won millions of fans since its premiere in 1949, who appreciate its practicality and driving characteristics. Despite decades of uninterrupted production, the automaker is about to introduce its seventh generation, which was created in cooperation with Ford.

In recent months, Volkswagen revealed the car in camouflage foil and promised a diverse range of power units, including a plug-in hybrid, a diesel engine and a purely electric drive. We also know that the car will be available in two body lengths and will offer traditional variability.

So far, the automaker has revealed the design of the new car very carefully, but now in the press release it reveals the design of the car without any camouflage. And that right in the PanAmericana special equipment, which was introduced for the first time with the fifth generation of the VW Transporter model.

As can be seen from the preview, the car will receive plastic door sills and wheel arches that decorate the model designation. According to representatives of the car company, the car should radiate an adventurous character, robustness and versatility.

It’s also worth noting that the PanAmericana will ride on 19″ alloy wheels from the factory, marking the first standard use of such large wheels in the model’s history. Indianapolis-branded bikes should have a clean and iconic design that fits perfectly with the brand.

The automaker also showed the new headlights again, with the PanAmericana model offering their highest version as standard. Even in basic versions, however, customers can look forward to LED headlights. The rear lamps, whose design has been newly modified and should symbolize the VW Commercial Vehicles division, also work with the same technology.

In the video, we also see the location of the charging socket, in this case with fast charging support, in the right part of the front bumper under the headlight. The premiere of the model was supposed to take place already in the spring of this year, but we do not yet know the exact date.
