Toni Kroos is usually a good witness when it comes to getting to the right conclusions. He has been playing at the highest level for 17 years and, with 34 titles, he is Germany’s most successful footballer. He can still win a trophy.
Kroos himself is not entirely sure whether he will be able to win the European Championship title on the home stretch of his career, which will end with Germany’s last tournament game: “We are not as good as we were made out to be recently, but also not as bad as we were made out to be before.”
