Kilmarnock’s players hope that they will be paired with Ajax in the second qualifying round of the Europa League. This is evident from a message shared on the official channels of the Scots.

The manager of Kilmarnock’s social channels sent the selection players which opponent they would most like to face in the European preliminary round. Their answers betrayed a clear favorite: Ajax.

Captain Kyle Vassell has no doubts. “Ajax!”, he reports back. Joe Wright agrees with his teammate. “Definitely Ajax,” said the defender. Bobby Wales responds with a GIF: “Obviously Ajax. Duh!”

Lewis Mayo prefers Molde – he has never been there – and Matty Kennedy prefers to see Trabzonspor emerge. For the rest, the selection votes almost unanimously for Ajax.

Kyle Magennis, Innes Cameron, Gary Mackay-Steven and David Watson also opt for a poster against the Amsterdam team. Danny Armstrong is undecided between Ajax and Braga, just like teammate Blair Gormal.

Bruce Anderson and Scott Symington would also like a trip to the Johan Cruijff ArenA. Lochlin Highet is the most pronounced. “That must be Ajax. They won’t know what hit them!”

In total, the team of new coach Francesco Farioli must survive three preliminary rounds to qualify for the main tournament of the Europa League.
