On the morning of Tuesday, June 11, 2024, the collaboration agreement was signed and presented between the Tizona Basketball Club and the Colegio Blanca de Castilla for the Tizona School.
This agreement aims to provide the Tizona School with a new place in which to carry out its activity: the sports center of the educational center, where all training sessions can be centralized.
Due to the large participation in the School, which also has an inclusive nature, for both boys and girls, and which also admits people with learning difficulties, Tizona was forced to look for a pavilion where they could carry out the activity. For this reason, the club contacted the Blanca de Castilla school, and the possibility of carrying out these training sessions there was facilitated, so the Tizona School will begin the following season in its facilities.
Miguel Ángel Benavente, president of CB Tizona, and Andrés Moreno, director of the school, participated in the event.
Firstly, Moreno highlighted that “It is a beautiful day for our children, for the school, and for a club that is bringing so much hope to the city these days. Children and sports, that allows you to make new friends, on the field, and it is a goal for any school, which is why for us it is a luxury to be able to do it with the help of Tizona.”
On the other hand, Benavente commented that “Our philosophy has always been ‘Sport Forms and Educates’, and the way to do it is starting from the youngest, since the School has boys and girls from 6 to 10 years old, to whom we promote the values of sport, competitiveness, camaraderie… Our gratitude to the director and the entire school, because these facilities help us to continue growing.”

Finally, Totte Alonso also took part, a player who has completed training with the first team after his return from loan in Cartagena. Alonso, as a native of Burgos, valued what this agreement means to him:
“For me, who is from Burgos, to see that more schools are involved in the growth of kids, in training and educating, and that children can have fun playing sports, I find it a source of pride. Encourage parents and children to come to school to have a good time.”
