Toni Kroos Aims to Retire with European Championship Title in Hand

Toni Kroos plans to retire from football with the European Championship title. The German, who has already hung up his football boots Real Madrid, with the Champions League title. At 34 years old, the midfielder returned to the German national team to play his last professional competition.

– If I didn’t think it was possible, I wouldn’t have come back, because I always wanted to win every competition I played. It would be a bit of a tacky ending, winning the Champions League and the European Championship, but I accept it.

Toni Kroos also revealed what he will do after ending his career. Now, the player will have the Euro to competeand thus, put an end to his participation as a professional athlete once and for all:

– I will spend my time mostly with my family and work at my youth academy in Madrid, as planned. The Icon League, which I founded with Elias Nerlich, will also start in September.

Germany debuts in the competition on June 14, against Scotland. Hungary and Switzerland are also in the German group.
