The former international player has to find a new club.
The Veolia Towers Hamburg are planning their future in the Basketball Bundesliga without four-time national player Lukas Meisner. As the club from the Hanseatic city announced, the 28-year-old’s contract, which was valid until 2025, was terminated early. The winger, who made a total of 155 competitive appearances during his time on the Elbe, no longer played a role in coach Benka Barloschky’s plans for the upcoming season.

“He has always put himself at the service of the team. However, in our recent collaboration we have not been able to push forward the development as both sides had hoped,” said Sporting Director Marvin Willoughby: “We have therefore decided to take the step of terminating the contract prematurely at this point.”
