Tragic Passing of Floorball Player Samantha Sizova shakes Ķekava Team and Community

Floorball team “Ķekava” shared a sad message on their Facebook page:

“Our team player, goalkeeper Samantha Sizova, died tragically. She really wanted to prove herself, survived and tried, was happy for the team’s support and at the end of the season heroically participated in the semi-finals and medal games.”

The Kekava club expressed its condolences to the girl’s parents: “Huge condolences to Samantha’s parents, who were always in the stands, taking their little daughter to the games in Estonia.”

Sizova was only 16 years old.

In 2023, Sizova was recognized as the best goalkeeper of the Latvian Children and Youth Championship in the category under 14 years of age.
