Yesterday evening the Trapani Shark won game 4 at the PalaDozza in Bologna against Fortitudo. Apparently the Trapani Sharks were unable to receive the cup and do the awards ceremony at the behest of the Fossa dei Leoni, the fringe of ultras fans of the white and blue team. These are the official words of the company regarding the situation in question:
“The Fortitudo ultras forced us to receive the awards in a basement ‘by imposition’ of the Lions’ Den, who prohibited the ceremony on the playing parquet, as per institutional practice. Equally, the club remains stunned by the imposition of remaining in the same basement, by will of the police forces and by the ineptitude of the Bologna club, until late at night, unable to celebrate with their fans, who arrived wonderfully and politely, again once, at the Madison in Piazzale Azzarita”the club wrote on its official website.
In short, Valerio Antonini’s Trapani Sharks strongly accused Fossa dei Leoni and Fortitudo Bologna for the management of the ceremony after match 4. We’ll see if the National Basketball League and the Emilian team will respond to these harsh words from the Sicilians.
