Trpišovský broke his collarbone

“Our head coach was injured in a minor cycling accident at a conditioning camp in Austria and is recovering from a broken collarbone. He will watch the match against Pardubice from the stands. Above all, a speedy recovery, coach,” reads Slavia’s Instagram post.

Trpišovský thus confirmed the reputation of an underdog with a slight exaggeration. He has already twice suffered a broken nose from the training bag with players stitched together. The last time this happened was at the end of last fall, for example, in the match against České Budějovice (2:1), Trpišovský gave instructions from the bench with a plaster already stuck to the injured area.

“It was bad luck. Ten people were standing around and it just hit the coach,” defender Michal Tomič explained at the time. Health troubles did not escape the head of the Slavist bench even in the current season. Recovery from a collarbone fracture takes between six and ten weeks on average, but Trpišovský will almost certainly return to the bench much sooner. In the prologue of the preparation with Pardubice, however, his work will have to be done by the assistants.
