TSV Bayer Dormagen Judo Department Celebrates 60th Anniversary with Spectacular Demonstration

On Saturday, June 15th, the Judo department of TSV Bayer Dormagen celebrated the 60th anniversary of its founding. The program was led by the chairwoman of the Judo department, Tanja Küpper, with the support of the deputy department head, Paul Blosczyk.

After thanking the board and trainers, Frederick Breivogel, who has been part of the group for people with disabilities since its inception, was honored for his 25 years of membership. Congratulations also went to Simon Obertreis, who has now taken on the position of state trainer for the U15s of the NWJV.

The members of the judo department took the reins for the active part and showed acrobatic exercises, spectacular throws and judo fall techniques from their training and examination program. Another part of the program was the judo demonstration by Simon Obertreis and Marcel Fischer. They performed perfectly staged judo throws at the highest level. This fascinated all spectators and there was tremendous applause. The celebration concluded with a barbecue, games stations and face painting for children in the TSV Bayer Dormagen sports complex.

We would like to thank all helpers for their active support and the parents for the numerous food donations.
