The National Final of the Pinocchio Trophy – Odilia Coccato Memorial concluded in Piana delle Orme in Latina. Tuscany wins for the second time, ahead of the defending champions Sicily and Veneto

The National Final of the Pinocchio Trophy – Memorial Odilia Coccato concluded in the splendid location of the “Piana delle Orme” theme park in Latina, which allowed the participants to compete and to carry out, on yesterday’s day, dedicated to the opening ceremony, also a guided tour of the museum which traces the history of 20th century Italy. Thanks to the impeccable work of the referees and the organizing committee, headed by the Arco Club Pontino, which enjoyed the support of the Archers Le Rondini of Aprilia, of the Arcadia of Cassino, of the Arcieri Pomezia, of the ZAC Zenit Archery Company of Alatri, of the Arco Club Terracina and of the Fitarco Lazio Regional Committee, the event took place in a beautiful festive atmosphere that all participants will surely remember for a long time.

At the end of the 48 arrows, the ranking for Regions and individuals was defined, after a whirlwind of emotions experienced on the shooting line by the young archers competing, by the technicians and Presidents of the Regional Committees ready to dispense advice behind them and by the numerous anxious parents and relatives beyond the barriers.

All the individual results of the competing athletes, from the youngest of the 2015 class to the 2011 class, contributed to drawing up the final ranking by Regions, which saw a long head-to-head which finally rewarded Tuscany, which writes for the second her name once again in the event’s roll of honor after her 2017 victory, climbing to the top step of the podium with 6470 points thanks to the performances of Rebecca Benedetti, Vittoria Capuccini, Giulia Fruscoloni, Alessia Grasso, Gioia Alessia Imbrisca, Gaia Morgana Pezzente, Vera Maria Serio, Matilde Stagi, Davide Bracaloni, Alessandro Moriconi, Edoardo Nunziati, Lorenzo Palella, Filippo Peria, Samuele Pinna and Dylan Servi. An excellent second place for the defending champions of Sicily who, overcome in the final, confirmed themselves at high levels, concluding with 6402 (Viola Doctor, Ginevra Giammetta, Sophia Ierna, Michela Maria Laudani, Elisa Micali, Matilde Stella Oneto, Simona Quartarone, Claudio Barbaro , Davide Bonventre, Mariano Antonino Calderone, Carmelo Davide Corsaro, Marco Di Cavolo, Dario Fiorello, Samuele Prato, Daniele Virgone), while Veneto comes third with 6356 points (Anita Buosi, Olimpia Chieregato, Matilde Manuzzato, Matilde Mazzucco, Linda Smaniotto , Beatrice Tono, Adele Vincenzi, Francesco Bergonzini, Leonardo Carraro, Davide Cazzola, Ethan Gelli, Gabriel Michielin, Gabriel Nacucchi, Riccardo Porfiri, Davide Vascon).
The rest of the ranking sees Lombardy in fourth place (6305), Emilia Romagna fifth (6280), Liguria sixth (6178), Piedmont seventh (6145), Puglia eighth (6032), ninth place for the hosts Lazio (5994), Sardinia tenth (5536), Friuli Venezia Giulia eleventh (5510), Trento twelfth (5301), Campania thirteenth (5301) with the same points but with 22X less, Marche fourteenth (5175) , fifteenth Bolzano (4936), sixteenth Calabria (4533), seventeenth Abruzzo (4375), eighteenth Umbria (3634), nineteenth Basilicata (2488) and twentieth Molise (1706). Nicolò Bertero (Piedmont) wins the gold with 451 points, followed by Filippo Peria (Tuscany) with 447 and third place, with the same result and only one gold less, for Giovanni Alberto Macchi (Lombardy). The women’s podium saw Maja Locatelli (Friuli Venezia Giulia) on the top step with 451, silver for Nadia Russo (Lazio) with 449 and bronze for Sophia Ierna (Sicily) with 448.

In first place in the men’s ranking is Dylan Servi (Tuscany) who finishes with 460 points, followed by Francesco Crinò (Lombardy) with 449 and Francesco Bergonzini (Veneto) with 445. Vera Maria Serio wins the gold in the women’s ranking (Tuscany) with 451, silver for Imaya Raffo (Liguria) with 443 and bronze for Martina Pistolesi (Lazio) with 435.

First place in the men’s category was won by Daniele Virgone (Sicily) with 462, second by Luca Napoletano (Lazio) with 455 and third by Alessandro Moriconi (Tuscany) with 453. On the top step of the women’s podium was Tilda Pesce (Liguria) with 463 points, followed by Irene Fantoni (Emilia Romagna) with 451 and Elisa Lo Nero (Emilia Romagna) with 449.

Arco Compound – Boys and girls 2011-2012
Starting from this edition, the compound division made its debut in the event, represented by one athlete per team, with a single male and female ranking. Gabriel Nacucchi (Veneto) won the gold with 475, silver for Francesco Borrelli (Campania) with 468 and bronze for Alessandro Maimone (Lazio) with 467. In this ranking the best archer was Rebecca Corigliano (Puglia) who concluded the 48 arrows with 455 points and 7th place, while Matilde Stagi (Tuscany) is eighth, again with 455 and with only two 10s less, Ginevra Scamperi (Trento) is ninth with 453.
