Two clubs interested in Memphis Depay revealed at Ziggo

Memphis Depay is receiving interest from Saudi Arabia, Nordin Amrabat revealed on Monday evening during the Ziggo Sport program Rondo. As is known, the attacker will leave Atlético Madrid on a free transfer this summer.
A few weeks ago it was announced that Memphis would no longer play for the club from the Spanish capital next season. The European Championship is therefore an excellent opportunity for him to put himself in the spotlight with a new employer.

Rik Elfrink of the Eindhovens Dagblad previously reported that PSV was interested in a new collaboration with Memphis. However, the striker and winger himself announced that he does not want to return to the Eredivisie yet.
As a result, the future of Memphis is still uncertain. Rondo is talking about possible new destinations for the attacker. Amrabat reports that there are at least two clubs interested in Memphis.
“He is wanted in Saudi Arabia,” says the soon-to-be transfer-free Moroccan international. “I already heard Al-Ettifaq and Al-Shabab (as clubs with interest, ed.). But that’s too early, he’s only thirty,” Amrabat has an opinion about a possible switch from Memphis to the Saudi Pro League.
Theo Janssen, also a guest in the talk show, sees the Dutch international succeeding at ‘a club like Borussia Dortmund’. “Not the top, just below that. A club that competes for prizes, plays in the Champions League. He could make a fantastic return there.”
“It would be nice if he (his new club, ed.) would already know during the tournament,” Ruud Gullit adds. “Otherwise you will have negotiations during the tournament. Then you are working on it all the time and the focus has to be elsewhere.”
