Later in group D, the duel between France and the Netherlands will start in Leipzig at 22:00 Latvian time. In Group D, France, the Netherlands and Austria have three points each, while Poland is empty.

Georg Trauner, Christoph Baumgartner and Marko Arnautovic scored for Austria and Krzysztof Piontek for Poland

At the beginning of the game, the Austrian national team had the upper hand and it also resulted on the scoreboard, reaching 1:0 in the ninth minute. After a throw-in, the ball went to Philip Mwene, who passed to Trauner and the Austrian defender was accurate with a shot from close range. Ten minutes later, the Poles had a great chance to equalize, but Nikola Zalewski hit the ball over the goal.

The Poles achieved a draw in the 30th minute, when Piontek was the first to rebound a few meters from the goal, the forward scoring his 12th goal for the Polish national team.

In the second half, in the 60th minute, Roberts Lewandowski, the captain of the Polish national team, who did not participate in the first match of the championship due to an injury, entered the field. This did not save the Poles from being chased again, because in the 67th minute, after an episode created by Arnautovic, Baumgartner scored from a distance in the penalty area.

In the 76th minute, Marcel Zabicer ran alone against Wojciech Szczesny and the Polish goalkeeper had no choice but to break the rules. Szczenzny got through with a yellow card, but a penalty kick was awarded to the goal he was guarding. “Pendeli” was performed by Arnautovics, who made it 3:1 in the 78th minute.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian men’s football team defeated Slovakia with a score of 2:1 (0:1) in the second match of the European Championship final tournament in Dusseldorf on Friday.

Mykola Shaparenko and Roman Yaremchuk stood out for Ukraine, while Ivan Šranc scored for Slovakia.

After several Slovakian attacks, in the 17th minute of the game, after passing to Lukas Haraslin, Šrancs executed a header, the ball hit the ground before reaching the ball, which made Anatolii Trubin’s job difficult. In the continuation of the half, the goalkeepers of both teams, Trubins and Martins Dubravka, worked successfully and did not allow the result of the match to be changed.

In the first half of the second half, in the 54th minute, the Ukrainians equalized the score. After a quick transition in the attack, Oleksandr Zinchenko passed the ball to the middle of the penalty area, from where Shaparenko made no mistake.

Ukraine took the lead in the 80th minute, when Yaremchuk received a pass from Sharapenko behind the defenders and rolled the ball into the goal.
