Unknown Player Jordan Skipper-Brown Joins SIG Strasbourg to Strengthen Back Positions

SIG Strasbourg has bet on an unknown player to strengthen its back positions. At 26, Jordan Skipper-Brown joins France with the ambition of taking his career to the next level. Trained in the United States, notably at Murray State University in 2022, he made his professional debut in Belgium with the Leuven club during the 2022/2023 season.

An “outstanding” physique and game

Described by his new club as a “real athletic monster, super active on the pitch”, the winger was quickly spotted. First in Slovenia with Polzel, then last season by Astana, in Kazakhstan. In the VTB League (professional league for the best clubs in Eastern Europe), Skipper-Brown moved up a gear and caught the eye of Strasbourg scouts.

“We were won over by the qualities that we saw on video and that were described to us by all the coaches who worked with him, both humanly and technically. He changed teams a lot, but the reason was always the same, his physique and his extraordinary game allowed him to progress towards better championships each time, rejoiced the SIG coach since June 1stLaurent Vila. It’s a position 4 that can help out in 5 if necessary and that brings a real complementarity to Hugo (Invernizzi)”.
