On Saturday June 8 afternoon, the public responded massively to the invitation from USM Montargis volunteers, who imagined this first edition of a very successful party.
It was a really good idea that the USM Montargis volunteers had: to propose a big party on the shores of Lac des Closiers, the main theme of which would be sport, accessible to everyone and for everyone.
Saturday June 8 was the very first edition of the Fête du lac, all around this emblematic site of Montargis, very popular with residents and especially families, many of whom responded to the clubs’ invitation.
A ticket which entitles you to a discovery session
Children, but also adults, were able to try all kinds of sports, from boxing to diving, including football, fencing and tennis.
As the afternoon progressed, there were more and more visitors.
Among these, children who would like to try an activity and for whom this party represented a first contact. “People can take all the contact details and all the necessary information, and a small ticket which gives the right to a free discovery session,” explains Dany Joseph, president of USM Montargis Tennis.
A Brazilian jujitsu section
One of the objectives of this major new event was to demonstrate that sport remains very accessible in Montargis and that all disciplines come together, with new activities offered. “At the start of the school year, we are opening a Brazilian jujitsu section,” announces Steve Louisfert, president of USM Montargis Boxe.
Sport, but also festive entertainment: the lake festival is also a tavern in the evening, to end the day in style.
