Valentijn Driessen is not happy with the draft competition program for the first round of the coming Eredivisie season. According to the journalist, there is little spectacular among them.
The competition starts on Friday evening with FC Groningen-NAC Breda. “The KNVB manages to plan a completely unappealing match as the first match of the season every time,” Driessen begins in Kick-off. “We have already had PEC – FC Utrecht or something like that. No one is excited about that. No one is excited about Groningen either, because that is just a KKD match that we are going to watch.”
According to Driessen, there are no nice posters in matchday 1. “The most appealing one is perhaps the very last one and that is because of Robin van Persie’s debut. That is Ajax – SC Heerenveen, which is on Sunday evening,” said the journalist. Ajax and SC Heerenveen close the first round on Sunday afternoon at 4:45 PM.
