Valentijn Driessen wants Memphis Depay, Xavi Simons and Denzel Dumfries to disappear from the Dutch starting eleven

Valentijn Driessen believes that Ronald Koeman should significantly overhaul his starting line-up for the final group match against Austria. The analyst of The Telegraph indicates in a video item that he would refer to the reserve bank.

Driessen attended the Dutch training together with Pim Sedee the day after the goalless draw against France. During that training, the basic players of the Dutch national team got on their bikes and the reserve players and substitutes completed a match format. Driessen thinks that three players will also participate in the games after the match against Austria.

This means that they disappear from the Dutch starting eleven. “For some of them, I think it will be the last time they ride their bikes after a competition. I’m watching the training and I could easily pick out three that I wouldn’t start against Austria. I would replace Memphis Depay with Joshua Zirkzee and Joey Veerman with Xavi Simons. Depay and Simons were, once again, the discordants for the Dutch team,” the football chief explains.

“I would also put Lutsharel Geertruida in for Denzel Dumfries. He did very well in the minutes he played against Canada and Iceland. I also found Dumfries very disappointing,” concludes Driessen.

Never in the modern history of Orange Ajax as extremely underrepresented as it is now in Germany.
